Bavarian Barbarian

A small brewery owned by a very nice couple, Mike and Kira Hiller,
that had a small tasting room serving
four very good beers at the time we were there. Tasting is free, and we got a growler
of the Weldspatter IPA. Rating: 5 Stars

Very good little Brewpub in a thriving downtown area. Nice patio upstairs, and a good selection
of about 7 beers. Tasters were good, but I found about three that I liked a lot. Rating: 4 Stars
Custom Brewcrafters

Contract Brewery with a nice new tasting room with 40 taps. Unfortunately, their business model
is to poll the restaraunts they brew for as to the recipe they prefer, and as a result,
they end up with a bunch of similar-tasting, fairly bland products. $3 for 6 tastes, but
the guy we had pouring wouldn't even fill up the small glass! Unremarkable Beers - had a hard time
finding one I wanted in a growler. Rating: 2 Stars

Downtown Bistro style bar, serving huge selection of craft beers on tap, including their own recipes
brewed on site (which they also contract out to other breweries). Good Beers, interesting
food selection, but not quite my type of brewpub. Recommended if you like a more
eclectic atmosphere. Rating: 3 Stars
Robert Simpson Brewery

Beautiful new modern brewery that had a very nice tasting room with lots of merchandise for sale.
Only two beers on tap - Antigravity Light Beer, and another unremarkable lager. I got the impression
that they are still in the process of building the business. Rating: 2 Stars
Muskoka Cottage Brewery

Small brewery producing about 5 different beers in bottles only. Even the tasting room served
from bottles. Nothing remarkable, but generally good beers. Rating: 2 Stars

Excellent Irish-style Brewpub with good atmosphere, food, and really good Beers! Interesting
symbiotic relationship with the restaraunt next door. Clearly a loyal clientele, and
a good place to hang out. Rating: 5 Stars

Another outstanding Brewpub in a thriving downtown area. Great Beers, and a good selection! Notable
beer: Pantious Droppus IPA (11.5% - 22 oz Bottles only) - Strong, but without tasting like it.
Really good food and a great atmosphere.
